In Name Of
Are you stuck on what to give someone for a birthday, anniversary, Christmas or other occasion? Does the recipient share your commitment to upholding the value of life? What better way to honor the occasion than by making a donation to Right to Life of Northeast Ohio in the recipient’s name?!
Our country was founded on the principles of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. It’s a sad fact that there are many people rationalizing that human life in it’s earliest or latest stages is expendable. Our work to change the culture of life is ongoing, and a donation is a wonderful testament to the recipient of the importance of their own life.
When you give a gift of life, we will send the recipient an acknowledgement gift card (sample shown at right) with both the recipient’s name and your name. We will keep the amount of the donation private so that your recipient will not know the amount of the donation.

In Memory Of

While it sounds like this type of donation should be for a gift when someone passes away (which is perfectly okay), a donation in memory of someone can actually be given on any occasion particularly if the recipient was very close to the person that passed away. The gift is a loving reminder of the deceased to honor the sanctity of their life. This is also a wonderful way to honor the deceased on the anniversary of their passing. By making a donation in the name of the deceased, you are letting the recipient know that the life of their deceased loved one goes on by helping to protect the innocent lives of those who cannot speak for themselves.
When you make a donation in memory of someone, we will send a card (sample pictured at left) to the recipient with both the name of the deceased person and your name on the card. We will keep the amount of the donation private. CLICK HERE to print an order form, or call our office at 330-762-2785.
Bequests
Create an enduring legacy through your will.
Sometimes we wonder about how we will be remembered after we’re gone. Will anyone be better because of how we lived? Did we make a difference? Will our family and friends think we helped improve their lives? Will the world be a better place because of our efforts? Leaving a bequest in your will allows you to continue to make a difference by helping others; it reflects your values, beliefs and the people and organizations that matter to you.
As you think about creating a legacy of your own, Right to Life of Northeast Ohio is one of the organizations you may choose to support. Your generosity will help us to continue in our cause of restoring a culture of life to our country so that a guarantee of life is given to all.
A little planning on your part now could save your heirs a lot of time and money later. A good will is a very important part of taking care of the assets you’ve accumulated over your lifetime and how you would like them to be used when you are gone.
When you leave a gift to Right to Life of Northeast Ohio in your will, you are helping ensure the continued message of
the sanctity of life from conception through natural death. There are several ways to create a bequest in your will. A few examples are:
- You can make a bequest for a specific dollar amount or for a percentage of your estate.
- You can designate your bequest for general use, or you can restrict its use to a specific program.
- You may establish a restricted fund that honors the memory of a family member, or other loved one.
A bequest can be unrestricted, enabling Right to Life of Northeast Ohio to direct your funds where they can best be used in our mission, or restricted for a particular program or activity. The following language may be helpful:
Example of unrestricted bequest language:
I give (insert dollar amount, property to be given, percentage of the estate, or “the remainder of my estate”) to Right to Life of Northeast Ohio, a nonprofit corporation, headquartered at 572 W. Market St. Ste 2, Akron OH 44303 for its general use and purposes.
Example of restricted bequest language:
I give (insert dollar amount, property to be given, percentage of the estate, or “the remainder of my estate”) to Right to Life of Northeast Ohio, a nonprofit corporation, headquartered at 572 W. Market St. Ste 2, Akron OH 44303, to be used specifically for [insert designation program or location].
No matter how large or how small your bequest is to Right to Life of Northeast Ohio, your generosity and legacy will be appreciated not only by us, but by the innocent human lives that you will be helping to save.
If you are considering a bequest to Right to Life of Northeast Ohio, meet with your attorney to draft or update your will. When you do this, give us a call to discuss whether the language you have used achieves your bequest goals.

Funeral Donations

When someone passes away, it is sometimes very difficult to express your condolences to their family. Many people send flowers or plants to honor the deceased, and this is very much appreciated. However, it can be a greater honor to make a donation to Right to Life of Northeast Ohio in the name of the deceased so that their legacy lives on through the innocent human lives which the donation will help to protect.
If you are arranging a funeral for your loved one and would like friends and family to make a donation to Right to Life of Northeast Ohio in lieu of flowers, please call our office at 330-762-2785. We will provide the funeral home with donation cards and envelopes which can be left with the funeral director to place by the guest book at the wake. The donations can be given to the funeral director to give to us, or the cards may be taken to be mailed to us in the already addressed envelopes. We will send a thank you note to the donor from Right to Life of Northeast Ohio, as well as send you a card indicating the name of the donor.
