Annual Education and Appreciation Dinner

updated_photo_for_website.jpg      Every spring, Right to Life of Northeast Ohio celebrates the hard work and efforts of members and supporters of life at the Education and Appreciation Dinner.  Together with the Life Education Fund board, they usually present awards to deserving participants who excelled in those efforts.  In addition, the “Champion For Life” award is occasionally presented as a lifetime achievement award to an individual  who has demonstrated outstanding public dedication and support for the principles promoted by Right to Life.

The evening normally starts with cocktails and appetizers, followed by dinner and presentation of awards.  A highlight of the evening is the keynote speaker.  We have been privileged in the past to hear outstanding pro-life speakers such as Pam Stenzel, Dr. John Willke, Dr. Alveda King, Dr. Ray Guarendi, Ken Blackwell, Judge Robert Bork, Star Parker and others.

There are many ways that pro-life groups, churches and organizations can help with the annual Education and Appreciation Dinner.   First and foremost, the most important way is by participating in Right to Life programs throughout the year.  We want to honor those who best characterize the principles of the right to life.  Those honors are a magnet for membership not only for Right to Life, but for your own pro-life group.  Other ways to help are:

  • Attend the Education and Appreciation Dinner.  You will make many friends and contacts and become re-enthused as you speak to others who do what you do.
  • Recruit friends, relatives, and others to attend the dinner.
  • Help to recruit or become a table sponsor.   A table sponsor pays a premium above the cost of the tickets to reserve the entire table of ten and receives advertising signage on the table plus an advertisement in the event program book.   Table sponsors are also invited to a before dinner event to meet and have pictures taken with the keynote speaker.
  • Help to recruit or become an event sponsor.   An event sponsor donates a significant dollar amount toward sponsoring the evening and receives recognition in major signage, program advertising and more.   Event sponsors are also invited to a before dinner event to meet and have pictures taken with the keynote speaker.
  • Recruit advertisements or purchase an advertisement in the event program.  There are several different ad sizes available for business, organization or personal advertising.
  • Volunteer to work at the event.
  • Volunteer to help with the planning of the event.  Most preparations for this event begin in late December, so call the Right to Life office for more information or to volunteer for you or your group.

Right to Life of Northeast Ohio will begin to post information about this event in late fall or early winter each year.
